I swear this month (this whole year, really) went by in the blink of an eye. Before 2018 is over I want to take some time to reflect on a few things I’m thankful for. First and foremost, I’m thankful for TJ. He is my rock and my world. Every day with him brings me happiness and he is the biggest supporter of everything I do. I’m thankful for my friends and family, with whom I’ve shared countless memories and laughs and so much love. I’m thankful for our two cats, Ajax and Onyx. Their playfulness, curiosity, and affectionate cuddles fill my heart with joy to the point of bursting. Just one year ago this month, we adopted Onyx! I’m thankful for a career in a field that I’m passionate about. For the ability to use my creativity on a daily basis. I’m thankful for Philadelphia, a city that I immediately felt a connection with on a college tour 10 years ago. I’m so thankful for an apartment that has decent heat, because I’ve lived in apartments that didn’t. I’m thankful for libraries. I’ve saved $580 (!!) this year alone, thanks to our local library (they send me an email with my running total every time I check out a book, how cool is that!). And lastly, I’m thankful for the small acts of kindness I witness everyday that give me faith in humanity.
